Mahindra eKUV100 is going to be an important electric vehicle from the homegrown brand
Mahindra is keen to stay in the pole position of the top spot in the Indian car market’s electric segment. The upcoming eKUV100 is going to be an important model in that strategy and this EV will launch sometime in mid-2019. The Mahindra eKUV100 will come sporting the similar design as the current KUV100 NXT, but there will several distinctive design elements as well that will put it apart from the conventional fuel powered model.
Mahindra is developing a bigger electric battery for its future electric vehicles and that will power the eKUV100 as well. The homegrown auto manufacturer showed a concept version of the car and it had projector headlamps, sleek blue accents at various places signifying the environment friendly character of the vehicle. Expect the same to be available in the production model as well. The car will surely arrive with the usual aggressiveness visible in every Mahindra model.
Inside the cabin, the Mahindra eKUV100 will come with ample space on offer, while the EV will get a touchscreen infotainment system, dual-pod instrument cluster with analog display and a digital MID etc. Seat and upholstery are expected to get special badge focusing on the electric powertrain of the car.
Mahindra’s new electric battery could churn out power output between 120 bhp to 204 bhp. Also, expect a generous range from the EV on a single charge. So far, this electric vehicle is going to impress us with its overall performance for sure.
