Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG will come combining the CNG kit with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and it will target the fleet operators
Maruti Suzuki has just launched the second generation Ertiga with petrol SHVS and diesel SHVS options. The new generation Ertiga is set to receive the factory fitted CNG kit as well and the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga CNG is expected to be rolled out within the next six months. The CNG kit will be combined with the 1.5-litre petrol engine onboard the MPV that has replaced the erstwhile 1.4-litre petrol motor. This will further strengthen the MPV’s appeal against its rival Mahindra Marazzo.
Adding the SHVS mild-hybrid technology in both petrol and diesel engine powered Ertiga, following the path of the new Ciaz sedan has been a big step for the brand in order to promote the greener powertrain. Now, launching the CNG variant for new generation Ertiga will boost that strategy further. This CNG variant will target mainly the fleet operators and many private buyers as well, specially in the NCR, just like the previous model.
Speaking about the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, it has received a wide range of updates across exterior and cabin. The MPV has become more stylish, practical and premium than before thanks to its updated design and features. It became longer and wider offering more space and comfort to the occupants. The seven-seater MPV comes with the revised front grille, projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, updated bumpers, new alloy wheels, LED taillights.
Inside the cabin, the faux wooden trim, flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, dual-pod instrument cluster with digital MID, a large touchscreen infotainment system with a host of connectivity features, large boot space add zing to the MPV. On the powertrain front, the new 1.5-litre petrol engine and 1.3-litre diesel motor do the duty, while transmission options include a manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic unit as well. So far, Maruti Suzuki left no stones unturned in making the new generation Ertiga a very appealing product.
