Mahindra XUV300 launch will mark the arrival of a rival against Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport
Mahindra XUV300 is one of the most awaited cars in India since news about its launch came out in public. The Mahindra XUV300 launch date has been finally confirmed on February 15, 2019. The arrival of this SUV could bring a challenge for rivals like Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon and Ford EcoSport. Also, this SUV could challenge the Hyundai Creta as well.
The upcoming SUV is internally codenamed as Mahindra S201. The Mahindra XUV300 launch will certainly help the brand to boost its sales number in 2019. It is based on SsangYong Tivoli’s X100 platform. However, the platform has been modified to fit under the four-metre rule. This compact SUV could be a game changer for the homegrown SUV-specialist in the segment, currently dominated by Maruti Suzuki.

Despite being underpinned by Tivoli’s platform, the Mahindra XUV300 carries some distinctive styling elements, with cues from Mahindra XUV500. The headlamps, front grille, chrome trims look identical to the Mahindra XUV500 SUV. It gets sporty alloy wheels, flared fenders, sleek wraparound taillights. A dual-tone body colour would be available as an option.

Interior of the car will come offering a premium feel, thanks to the features and styling. It will offer generous space and comfort to the occupants. There will be a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Automatic climate control, 7 airbags will add more premiumness to the cabin for sure.
The Mahindra XUV300 will get a 1.2-litre G80 turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.5-litre diesel motor as well. The latter will kick out 120 bhp of peak power. A 6-speed manual gearbox will perform transmission duty. Expect an automatic unit to be offered at a later stage. In 2018, Mahindra launched the Marazzo MPV and Alturas G4 premium SUV. Now, the brand is all set to start the new year with Mahindra XUV300 launch.
