BMW & Mini Yearbook brings you a comprehensive review of the two brand’s activity in 2018
BMW is one of the three German luxury car majors present in India. The Bavarian auto giant comes with a range of urn out models on offer for the Indian customers. Like every year, in 2018 as well, BMW launched a couple of exciting cars in the country. Its subsidiary MINI too brought some interesting models here. Here, in the BMW & MINI Yearbook 2018, we give you a comprehensive look at the two brand’s overall activity in the year.
The most important car BMW launched in India in 2018 was the BMW M2 Competition. Priced at Rs 79.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the BMW M2 Competition gets power from a 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine. This engine is good to churn out 404 bhp of peak power and 550 Nm of peak torque. It can accelerate 0-100 kmph in 4.2 seconds with a top speed 250 kmph. Apart from that, other launches from the carmaker include the BMW 6-Series GT and BMW X3.

BMW is also readying its new 3-Series sedan for India launch. The new BMW 3-Series sedan has been spotted testing in the country already. Apart from that, the automaker has also announced the launch date of the upcoming BMW X7 flagship luxury SUV. The new BMW i3 electric car too has started testing in India ahead of its scheduled next year launch. The German luxury car giant launched its online sales platform a few weeks ago, which was another interesting fact about the brand. MINI too followed the same.

Speaking about MINI, the British marquee launched the new Countryman in India this year. The 2018 MINI Countryman was launched in India in May this year at a starting price of Rs 34.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Available in both petrol and diesel powertrain options, the new MINI Countryman comes in three different trims. In the year 2019, we hope to see some spectacular launches from both BMW and MINI. BMW has already lined up 12 models for launch in the country in the coming year.
