This rendered image of 2020 Ford EcoSport imagines a significantly revised design incorporating sharp contours and premium features.
Ford EcoSport has earned the respect of Indian car buyers within short span and the current model brings contemporary styling to the compact SUV. However, that seems not enough and a rendered image imagines the next generation 2020 Ford EcoSport in new light. The image portrays the SUV with crispy sharp contours and some premium features that make it much more appealing over the present model.
The 2020 Ford EcoSport has been imagined with sharper and sleeker headlamps with projector headlamps and integrated LED daytime running lights. Also, there is a new chrome garnished hexagonal front grille bearing horizontal slats. The front bumper looks sculpted with unique shaped fog lamps at both ends that get highlighted with sleek chrome trims. The centre dons horizontally slated black lower air intake.

Moving to side profile, there are sporty and large black alloy wheels, black cladding and crisp character lines adding more masculinity to the SUV. Turn indicator integrated ORVMs, blackened glass area and sporty roof rail add zing to the car, while at the back, there are new design compact LED taillights, integrated roof spoiler and a sculpted tailgate as well. On both front and rear end, the SUV gets skid plates.
While, Ford has seen immense success with the 1.0-litre EcoBoost engine in India like the rest of the world, a more improved version could be there in the next generation EcoSport. Also, there would be a 1.5-litre petrol engine as well like the current model. However, it is not sure, what Ford’s strategy is going to be for the diesel variant, as the diesel engine powered cars are going to be significantly pricier in India after April 2020 due to the upcoming BS-VI emission norms. Transmission options for the SUV would include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox.
