Tata Altroz EV is based on ALFA platform and likely to go on sale in 2020
Tata Altroz EV has been finally unveiled at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show and the car looks absolutely appealing. The Altroz EV appears to be a very stylish premium hatchback. The Tata Altroz EV is a concept model that comes drawing inspiration from the Tata Harrier spawning H5X concept and Tata 45X concept displayed at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. The production model of this EV concept will hit showrooms sometime in 2020.
Tata Motors has been working on a slew of exciting products for quite some time. We have already seen the Tiago, Tigor, Nexon, Hexa and Harrier. Now the next models in the line include Tata Harrier 7-seater (H7X), Tata Altroz and its EV variant. Designed following the Impact 2.0 design language, the Tata Altroz EV looks a bit similar to the Honda Jazz, its rival to be.

The premium hatchback looks pretty sculpted at the front end. The side profile boasts large alloy wheels, crisp character lines and a sloping shoulder line running upwards at the rear. The twin LED headlamps, LED taillights to add zing to the car. The Tata Altroz is expected to eat into the sales of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Hyundai Elite i20, two most popular premium hatchbacks in India.
Not only the exterior but the cabin of this car will be equally appealing. There will be a host of upmarket features alongside generous space and comfort. A touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone automatic climate control, the multi-drive mode will be there for sure. Also, expect the Tata Altroz EV to come with an array of impressive safety features.

While the conventional fuel powered version of the hatchback already boosts appeal, its electric variant shows Tata Motors’ will to produce sustainable zero-emission mobility solutions. The automaker currently has Tiago EV and Tigor EV in its portfolio. However, they are not available for sale to the public.
