Mahindra & Mahindra launched AMT on the W6 variant of XUV 300 for Rs 9.99 lakh
Mahindra XUV 300 now gets AMT gearbox on Diesel W6 variant for Rs 9.99 lakh ex-showroom. The new SUV can now be purchased from the authorized dealers across the country.
The Automated Manual Transmission (AMT) with autoshift technology is developed by Magneti Marelli which is an Italian automotive expert for the new XUV 300. This particular AMT box is made available in the Diesel W6 variant which is an impressive addition as the customer often looks for Diesel automatic cars which are city-friendly.
The 1.5-liter diesel engine with variable geometry turbocharger pumps out 115bhp and massive 300Nm torque. This engine is mated to the above mentioned AMT gearbox which is optimized for peppy acceleration and overtaking manoeuvers. The AMT variant comes with additional features such as Electronic Stability Program (ESP), Hill Start Assist, Hill descent mode, Kick down mode for speedy overtaking, and vehicle creep for those stop and go traffic.

The price of Mahindra XUV 300 starts from Rs 8.10 lakh ex-showroom for base W4 petrol variant while W4 diesel starts from Rs 8.69 lakh ex-showroom. At Rs 11.64 lakh ex-showroom, the W8 Option variant of Petrol is a bit expensive when compared to the competition. Well, if we speak about the top of the line diesel variant, the W8 Option AMT, it carries a price tag of Rs 12.69 lakh ex-showroom.
The Mahindra XUV 300 rivals with Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Ford Ecosport, Maruti Suzuki Brezza. Out of these, the Venue is selling like hot cakes owing to its new design language and class-leading features. Mahindra XUV 300, if gets revised pricing, might sell more than what it is currently doing on the sales charts.
