New Honda Civic India launch will mark the sedan’s comeback in the country.
New Honda Civic’s India launch has been the talking point for quite some time and now it seems the Japanese brand is ready to roll it out here in February 2019. Indian market will receive the facelifted version of the tenth generation model that is already on sale in global market and garnered pretty good attention as well. The new Honda Civic not only marks the comeback of this executive sedan in India, but it also falls in line with the brand’s strategy to focus on premium products here.

New Honda Civic will be Honda’s second premium product after the new CR-V, which is ready to launch here on October 9, 2018. Upon launch, it will lock horns with rivals like Toyota Corolla, Hyundai Elantra and Skoda Octavia. Speaking about the styling of the new Honda Civic, it comes with a suave and premium feel. There are sleek LED headlamps, piano black accents at front fascia, angular bumpers and updated fog lamp enclosures with chrome trims. New alloy wheels have been introduced.
Inside the cabin, the new Honda Civic gets a large 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The touchscreen infotainment system is ergonomically positioned to give the driver a better view. Upmarket quality seat and upholstery materials add premiumness to the cabin. In terms of space and comfort, the sedan comes offering top notch quality.

Coming to the powertrain front, the new Honda Civic will be available with a 1.8-litre petrol engine coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while there will be an automatic unit as well. The petrol motor is capable of churning out 138 bhp of power output. Just like the upcoming Honda CR-V, there will be a 118 bhp generating 1.6-litre diesel engine on offer paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. However, the diesel variant won’t get an automatic gearbox.
