The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to be priced competitively against its rivals. It comes available at a price range of Rs 7.44 lakh and Rs 10.90 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). On the other hand, the Mahindra Marazzo comes priced between Rs 9.99 lakh and Rs 13.90 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Clearly, the new Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has an edge over the Mahindra Marazzo, thanks to the lower pricing.
2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga vs Mahindra Marazzo: Specification
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga is expected to carry the same petrol and diesel engines as the new Maruti Suzuki Ciaz that has been launched here couple of weeks ago. In that case, the new Ertiga will come with a 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 1.3-litre diesel engine as well. Also, both the engines could get Suzuki SHVS mild hybrid technology, just like the new Ciaz. Transmission options could include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic unit. However, the automaker is yet to disclose the fine detailing of the MPV.
The petrol engine churns out 103 bhp of peak power and 138 Nm of peak torque, while the diesel motor pumps out 89 bhp of peak power and 200 Nm of peak torque. On the other hand, the Mahindra Marazzo is powered by a new in-house developed 1.5-litre diesel engine coupled with a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine kicks out 121 bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque. Also, the engine returns 17.6 kmpl of mileage.
