Maruti Suzuki Ignis Limited Edition sports some cosmetic updates only and it will launch ahead of festive season.
When Maruti Suzuki launched Ignis, it came as the brand’s strategy to lure the millennials that have been the driving power in the Indian market for quite long time. The automaker tried to cope up with the increasing demands for fresh styling and premium features of the buyers, but the Maruti Suzuki Ignis is yet to catch up the pace it was expected to get. Now, in order to give the car a boost, Maruti Suzuki is ready to launch a limited edition of the Ignis.
Based on the Delta trim of regular Maruti Suzuki Ignis, the limited edition is expected to be priced slightly premium over the price of the standard model. The Maruti Suzuki Ignis Delta comes priced at Rs 5.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be launched in India ahead of the upcoming festive season. This will come with some attractive cosmetic updates over the standard model and it will be available in a limited number. As the brand has already revealed image of the car online, it gets faux skid plates at front, side and rear. The black cladding at side profile gets metal finish scuff plates.
There is a roof spoiler adding sportiness to the car. Inside the cabin, it boasts all-black leatherette upholstery. Apart from that, all the features inside the cabin will be same as the standard version. Also, it could receive special badge as well.
On the powertrain front, Maruti Suzuki Ignis limited edition will be mechanically same as regular model. Power source will be the 1.2-litre engine that kicks out 82 bhp of peak power at 6,000 rpm and 113 Nm of peak torque at 4,200 rpm. Transmission options will include a 5-speed manual gearbox and an AMT as well. So far, this will be an accessorized version of the standard Ignis.
