Tata Tigor Special Edition will come boasting revised headlamps and taillights, new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system.
Tata Tigor Special Edition is going to be the next offering from the homegrown automaker that is scheduled to launch on October 10, 2018. The sedan is one of the most uniquely designed and stylish one in Indian market. However, the brand is yet to experience taste of success with the Tigor. Introducing the Tata Tigor Special Edition is expected to boost its sales during upcoming festive season.
In order to boost sales of the sedan, Tata Motors is adding more uniqueness to the car. These include updated headlamp and taillights that have been teased officially through the video. Apart from that, there would be new design alloy wheels, shark fin antenna, height adjustable front seats, rear centre armrest with cup holders, power adjustable wing mirrors, reverse parking camera.
An all-new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto will enhance the sedan’s appeal further. This Harman infotainment system will come in alliance with four speakers. Based on the XZ+ trim, the Tata Tigor Special Edition will don ‘Egyptian Blue’ exterior paint, while the interior too would get new colour theme. Tata Motors is yet to disclose the pricing of the upcoming Tata Tigor Special Edition, but we can assume it will be around Rs 30,000 premium over the standard Tigor XZ+, thanks to those mild tweaks and additional features.
The Tata Tigor Special Edition will come available in both petrol and diesel engine options. However, mechanically it will be same as the standard Tigor. The engines will be a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol motor and a 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel unit. Transmission duty would be done by a 5-speed manual gearbox only. Fuel efficiency too will remain same.
