Tata Harrier SUV to come powered by an all-new power-packed 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine.
Tata Harrier SUV is going to be the next big launch from the homegrown automaker. Expected to launch in early 2019, the Tata Harrier will be based on the same architecture as the Land Rover Discovery Sport. While we have already spotted the test mule of the upcoming premium SUV several times, Tata Motors has officially confirmed the engine details of the car. The Harrier will get a 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine.
Interestingly, the Tata Harrier SUV’s new age engine has been inspired from the Cryogenic rocket engine for its power and reliability, as Tata claims. This powerful four-cylinder engine comes promising refined drivability and performance. Also, it gets state-of-the-art engine management system. Tata says, the exhaust after treatment systems are tuned to deliver extremely low carbon footprint.
Speaking about the upcoming Tata Harrier, this SUV will be positioned at the top of the portfolio and it will come equipped with a host of technologies. These include multiple drive mode, Terrain Response Models of the ESP. The electronically controlled advanced Variable Geometry Turbocharger will ensure a linear and excellent power delivery to make the SUV capable to take on any terrain. To ensure a long life and great mileage, there will be Low Friction Valve Train Architecture and an advanced EGR.
Not only technology and advanced features, the Tata Harrier will arrive with a stylish and appealing design following the Impact 2.0 language. The car is claimed to set a benchmark for SUVs in India. Expect it to be priced very aggressively.
