2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift comes with mild exterior and interior design changes alongside new BS-VI engines and a 9-speed transmission.
2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift range has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom), while the AMG line comes at Rs 48.5 lakh (ex-showroom). The C-Class sedan has been the bestselling car from the brand in India for four consecutive years and with the updated model, the German brand aims higher success. The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift dons mild exterior and interior design along with new powerful BS-VI emission norms compliant engines.
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class range that launched in India includes the standard sedan, C-Class Cabriolet and high performance Mercedes-AMG C43. Assembled locally in the automaker’s Chakan factory, the updated C-Class has been inspired by its bigger siblings like E-Class and S-Class. In short, Mercedes-Benz has taken the luxury of the sedan to one notch higher. India’s number one luxury car brand Mercedes is expecting to see a greater sales boost in coming days that will be driven by the C-Class range.
This car gets a suave design featuring high performance LED headlamps, new integrated LED daytime running lights, updated bumpers and front grille with shiny bits. Also, new alloy wheel design, revised LED taillights take the appeal further. Inside the cabin, the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift gets touch sensitive control buttons mounted on steering wheel, touchpad inspired by the new S-Class, an optional fully digital instrument cluster with three individual display style and it is complemented by an advanced wide display touchscreen infotainment system. It gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, while the new driver assistance system enhances the luxury level of the car.
Powertrain segment of the 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift has received significant update. It boasts new BS-VI emission norms compliant diesel engines. The 2.0-litre diesel engine kicks out 194 bhp of power and 400 Nm of torque. The flagship variant C300d gets a 245 bhp and 500 Nm generating 2.0-litre motor. This engine enables the car to accelerate 0-100 kmph in 5.9 seconds.
