India-bound Ford Figo facelift gets dual front airbags, ABS and Isofix anchorage as standard safety features.
Ford Figo facelift is gearing up to be launched in India giving the American hatchback a refreshing touch inside out. Ahead of that, the upcoming car has received three-star rating in Latin NCAP crash test. It scored three-star in adult occupancy and four in child occupancy with the standard safety features like dual front airbags, ABS and Isofix anchorage onboard.
Expected to launch sometime around upcoming festive season, the Ford Figo facelift will bring several changes in the model. It is expected to receive a larger and revised front grille, updated bumpers, touchscreen infotainment system, upgraded upholstery that are available in the Brazilian market-spec Ford Figo (Ka) facelift, which was tested by the Latin NCAP. The testing agency indicated the lack of electronic stability control as one of the point deducting factors.
Despite being a good car, Ford is yet to found the desired sales result for the Figo hatchback. The Ford Figo facelift is expected to fulfill that expectation with its revised styling, features and improved performance as well. It is to be seen what are the safety features in the car. Upon launch in India, expect the Ford Figo facelift to don a competitive price tag.
Ford is currently preparing for the Aspire facelift launch, the compact sedan based on Ford Figo hatchback that will hit showrooms on October 4. The Ford Figo facelift is expected to come after that only. Speaking about the compact sedan, it boasts similar design, features as its hatchback sibling. Also, the Ford Aspire facelift will bring the new Dragon series petrol engine just like the current Ford EcoSport.
