MG Hector price is expected to be competitive against Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass
MG Hector has created quite a buzz already. The first car from MG Motors in India, the Hector SUV is all set to launch in the first half of June 2019. Booking for the SUV is likely to commence soon and MG Hector will be unveiled on May 15. Its price to be competitive against rivals like Tata Harrier and Jeep Compass. Also, it could target the Hyundai Tucson as well.
MG Hector price could be something around Rs 18 lakh-Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be the second SUV in India with connected car technology, right after Hyundai Venue that is set to roll out on May 21. As MG has already revealed details, the MG Hector SUV will feature an Airtel 5G integrated SIM that will connect the car’s system with the owner’s smartphone.
Using the connected car technology, the owner will be able to make the car’s system perform a host of functions remotely. No wonder, this will be an interesting car for sure. The SUV will come with over the air updates, pre-loaded apps, Artificial Intelligence powered voice assist etc.
MG Hector will be sold here in multiple trim options. The SUV will boast a muscular design with features like LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights and LED taillights. Initially, it will be sold in a five-seater option. Later, we might see a seven-seater variant as well. The MG Hector comes with a boxy appearance that grabs attention at the very first glance.
Inside the cabin, MG Hector will come with a host of features and hi-tech technologies enhancing its appeal further. In terms of space and comfort, it will offer a premium theme for sure. Speaking about the powertrain of the upcoming MG Hector, it will be available with a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, while an FCA-sourced 2.0-litre diesel motor will be there as well. A 6-speed manual gearbox will perform transmission duty.
