Rolls Royce Cullinan price is Rs 6.95 crore in India, deliveries to commence in 2019
Rolls Royce Cullinan price was expected to be around Rs 8 crore (ex-showroom) in India. Surprisingly, the British luxury car manufacturer’s first-ever SUV comes priced lower than that, at Rs 6.95 crore (ex-showroom). Based on the ‘Architecture of Luxury’ platform, the uber-luxurious SUV carries the signature Rolls Royce design language, but with distinctiveness. Delivery of the car will commence in 2019.
The Rolls Royce Cullinan comes drawing energy from a massive 6.75-litre V12 petrol engine that is capable of churning out 563 bhp of peak power and 850 Nm of maximum torque. Transmission duty is performed by an 8-speed automatic gearbox. It gets the All-Wheel Drive (AWD) technology, which is another Rolls Royce first. The car is equipped with multiple off-roading modes and self-levelling air suspension.
It is evidently clear that Rolls Royce not only made the Cullinan uber-luxurious but very much capable of off-roading too. The SUV will lock horns with rivals like Lamborghini Urus and Bentley Bentayga. Speaking about its features, the SUV boasts LED headlamps, suicide doors, 22-inch alloy wheels, a roof-mounted spoiler, LED taillights etc. The four-wheel steering helps driving dynamics.
Besides sharing its platform with Rolls Royce Phantom, the Cullinan comes with a near identical cabin. Featuring bespoke leather, wood trims, all-digital instrument cluster, a touchscreen infotainment system and the trademark dash-mounted clock boosts its appeal. The India-spec model gets 12-inch rear entertainment screens. Interestingly, this feature comes as an option in other global markets. The Rolls Royce Cullinan offers 560-litre boot space and it can be expanded up to 1,930-litre.
Apart from offering such luxurious features, Rolls Royce offers the customers option for customization. The buyers can customize the cabin according to their preference. It will cost them around Rs 1 crore extra. With this model, Rolls Royce has finally entered the fray of luxury automakers that have lately started producing SUVs.
