Tata Harrier booking amount is Rs 30,000 and it will be launched in January 2019.
Tata Harrier booking process will commence on October 15, 2018 and the prospective customers can book the highly awaited SUV at Rs 30,000. Expected to launch in January 2019, the SUV will be the brand’s most attractive model upon launch. However, the automaker is likely to unveil it to public ahead of the launch. Interestingly, this will be one of the most interesting products from the homegrown car brand.
Tata Harrier is based on the Land Rover derived Omega architecture. Surely, this will be highly capable and lightweight as well. The Tata Harrier has been already showcased in concept form at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo as H5X and it garnered pretty good attention from buyers. This SUV could boast a styling with some cue from the Tata Hexa and Nexon as well. Apart from that, Land Rover inspired design elements would be there as well.
Tata Motors has already revealed the detail of the powertrain of Harrier SUV. It will be powered by a new efficient 2.0-litre Kryotec diesel engine. Transmission options for the upmarket big SUV will include a 6-speed manual gearbox and a Hyundai-sourced 6-speed automatic unit as well. Test mules of the SUV have been spotted in the country several times and the production model is expected to deliver impressive performance.
The Rs 10-20 lakh segment has been one of the most competitive category for every brand present in India in last couple of years. Arrival of Tata Harrier will certainly increase the heat there as it will lock horns with Hyundai Creta and Nissan Kicks. To lure the buyers, the brand is hopefully going to price the SUV very aggressively against its rivals.
