Tata Harrier will be globally unveiled in early December this year ahead of its January 2019 launch. The much awaited premium SUV’s delivery will start from late January 2019. Booking for this model is already on and Tata Motors has received significant amount of bookings for this SUV. Showcased as concept at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo, the Tata Harrier is based on the brand’s new lightweight platform, which has been derived from Land Rover.
The new SUV comes with some important inputs from land Rover as well, in terms of design. It will follow the brand’s latest Impact 2.0 design language and there will be modern features like projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED fog lamp, LED taillights, large alloy wheels etc. Initially it will be available as a five-seater SUV, while a seven-seater one will join later.
Be sure about a premium cabin as the Tata Harrier will come with upmarket quality leather upholstery and seat covers. A 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system combined with a Harman Kardon audio system. Also, the SUV will offer generous space for sure for all the occupants, ensuring a comfortable journey experience.
Speaking about its powertrain, the Tata Harrier will get a 2.0-litre diesel engine that will generate power output in two different state of tunes. While the first-coming five-seater variant will pump out 138 bhp of peak power, the seven-seater one will kick out 168 bhp of peak power. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic gearbox as well.
