Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP come with sporty cosmetic updates and re-tuned 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine onboard.
Tata Tiago and Tigor JTP have been unveiled right ahead of the two performance focused model’s official launch on October 26. The Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP come with some sporty cosmetic updates over the standard model. Also, the 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine of the regular model is there, but thanks to the tuning it now produces more power and torque output.
Speaking about the cosmetic updates, both the Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP come with updated black front grille, larger air intakes, revised bumpers, black glass area and ORVMs and new bigger alloy wheels. Also, the special JTP badge are there as well adding the exclusivity. The Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP both come with some cosmetic updates inside the cabin as well.
Both the Tata Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP get an all-black theme inside the cabin along with contrasting red accents, aluminium pedals, new seat covers and leather wrapping on steering wheel. The 8-speaker Harman Kardon touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and voice commands add more appeal to these two models.
Both the performance focused cars are equipped with dual front airbags, ABS and EBD as standard. Speaking about the powertrain, the engine has been tuned to churn out 112 bhp of peak power at 5,000 rpm and 150 Nm of peak torque between 2,000 rpm and 4,000 rpm. A 5-speed manual gearbox is there performing transmission duty, while the cars get multiple driving modes. Developed jointly by Tata Motors and Jayem Automotive, these two models are capable of accelerating to 100 kmph from standstill in 10 seconds.
