BMW has launched all-new 3 series priced from Rs 41.40 lakh ex-showroom
German luxury car manufacturer has launched its entry-level luxury car in India, the 3 Series. With more than 14 million 3 series sedans on the roads worldwide, it is the largest selling BMW of all time.
There are 3 variants of new 3 Series sedan out of which 2 are diesel and one comes with a petrol engine. The base variant, BMW 320d Sport is priced at Rs 41.40 lakh ex-showroom. Second top model, 320d Luxury Line carries a price tag of Rs 46.90 lakh and the top variant with a turbo petrol engine, 330i M Sport will set you back by Rs 47.90 lakh ex-showroom.
2019 BMW 3 series has even more dynamic design language with more aggressive front fascia along with stylish rear section. The LED headlights are now more focused which enhances the sporting credentials of the new BMW 3 series sedan.

Powering the new 330i M sport is a 2-liter, twin-turbo, in-line 4 cylinder petrol engine. This powerplant pumps out 258bhp of max power with massive 400Nm of torque peaking at 1550rpm – 4400 rpm. An 8-speed Steptronic sport automatic transmission shoots the car from 0 to 100 kmph in just 5.8 seconds. The diesel engine in question is also a 2-liter, 4 cylinder unit making about 190bhp. Torque is rated at 400Nm which peaks at 1750-2500rpm. This one does a 0-100 kmph in 6.8 seconds flat.
The new BMW 3 Series now comes with BMW Virtual Assistant, a digital personality of the vehicle which will respond to voice commands. In a simple language, you can now talk to your BMW. Drivers can now operate and access various car functions simply by speaking to their BMW Virtual Assistant. With this, one can also perform a number of functions with pre-defined hand movements. BMW likes to call this tech, BMW Gesture Control. There is also a Reversing Assistant which provides unmatched support in reversing the car or through narrow driveways.

This time around BMW is offering up to Rs 23 lakh buyback value coupled with low monthly payments, and flexible end of term options. Along with the BMW Service Inclusive Plus plans which will help in reducing the cost of ownership of the new 3 Series sedan. The Condition-based service and maintenance work comes with different plans ranging from 3 years/40,000 km to 10 years/2,00,000 km.
The instrument cluster is a 12.3-inch display along with a 10.25-inch control display. There are three driving modes – Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport, and Sport+. The automatic transmission can be controlled via the sporty pedal shifters behind the steering wheel in the steering column.
One cannot finish writing about a BMW without mentioning the safety features. The new 3 Series comes with all kind of safety features including 6 airbags, Attentiveness assistant, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), electric parking brake with auto hold, Side-impact protection, electronic vehicle immobilizer, and crash sensor. There is an ISOFIX child seat mounting and integrated emergency spare wheel under the trunk floor.
