Honda Amaze VX CVT is the new variant added to the portfolio, available at Rs 8.56 lakh
Honda is expanding the Amaze range for the interested buyers. The compact sedan that rivals with competitors like Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Xcent and Ford Aspire have received a new variant with CVT. Christened as Honda Amaze VX CVT, this new variant is priced at Rs 8,56,900 and Rs 9,56,900 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for petrol and diesel options respectively. It is available in both petrol and diesel options.
With this new variant, the option of CVT is expanded for Honda Amaze buyers. Initially, only the S and V grades were available with CVT. With 20% customers currently opting for CVT equipped Honda Amaze, a new variant of the car with CVT will enhance the appeal further, specially when it is available in the top-end VX trim.

So what are the other features on offer from the new VX CVT variant? It gets 17.7 cm Advanced Infotainment System with a capacitive touchscreen that boasts satellite-linked turn by turn navigation besides Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. Also, it comes with an additional USB port, rear parking camera with guidelines.
The VX CVT variant of Honda compact sedan also comes with safety features like ABS, dual airbags, rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, impact sensing door unlock. Launched in May 2018, the second generation Honda Amaze appears completely different compared to the previous model. It became a masculine appearance that gives it an SUV like feel when seen from the front. This car contributed 46% of the total sales for the brand in FY 2018-19.
The All-new Amaze recorded more than 85,000 units in the last 11 months. This marks the fastest sales record by any car launched by Honda in India. Since its inception in India, Honda has sold more than 3.4 lakh units of the sedan. Despite tough competition from rivals like Dzire and Xcent, the compact sedan has been able to strengthen its own spot in the market.
