Hyundai Carlino is the new sub-compact SUV readying for India launch, global debut expected at New York International Auto Show
Hyundai Carlino has been making headlines for quite some time in India. Since Hyundai showcased the Carlino concept at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo, anything about it generated interest among us. Now, ahead of its scheduled global debut at the upcoming 2019 New York International Auto Show, we have got some spyshots that look like the production version of Carlino.
Hyundai Carlino concept is expected to be christened as Hyundai Styx, the sub-compact SUV would play a key role in boosting Hyundai’s growth here. The latest spyshots reveal the taillight and alloy wheel design of the SUV. There are LED strips at taillights, while alloy wheels appear pretty bold. Despite heavy camouflage, the car appears with a very identical look as the Hyundai Creta from the side profile.

Not only in India, but upcoming Hyundai Carlino based SUV will also target global markets like European countries and America as well. This car will be underpinned by a new platform that houses new Creta and i20 as well. In terms of styling, the Hyundai Carlino will follow the brand’s latest design language. A hexagonal front grille, sharp headlamps with projector lamps, integrated LED daytime running lights will add zing to the car.
Inside the five-seater cabin, Hyundai Carlino would boast a host of features and advanced technologies. There would be a layered dashboard with a large 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system at the centre console. It will get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Dual-pod instrument cluster with a digital MID at the centre will be there. Hyundai Carlino‘s Safety features will include 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control etc. So far, Hyundai is leaving no stones unturned in making this appealing SUV a very desired and loaded one.

Speaking of its powertrain, the upcoming Hyundai Carlino based Styx SUV will get both petrol and diesel engines. 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel motor will be there. Both these engines would churn out around 115 bhp of power output.
