Mahindra Bolero receives a host of safety systems to meet the new norms coming on July 1, 2019
Bolero has been one of the most popular UVs in India for a really long time. The practicality, go anywhere capability have made this SUV a leading revenue generator for Mahindra, despite having a spartan look in terms of features. However, to comply with the upcoming safety norms, Mahindra has equipped the Bolero with a host of safety features.
The new safety features introduced to the Mahindra Bolero include driver-side airbag, Anti Brake-locking System, reverse parking sensors, speed alert system, passenger seatbelt reminder etc. No wonder, this will enhance the appeal of Mahindra Bolero in the coming days. The SUV is more popular among the fleet operators and commercial operators instead of private buyers. Expect the newly added features to increase its value further.

The updated Mahindra Bolero will launch here sometime next month. Apart from the above-mentioned changes, any other changes are unlikely to be there. However, once the BS6 emission norms kicks in the country, Mahindra will introduce a BS6 compliant diesel motor to this SUV. Currently, the Mahindra Bolero gets energy from mHawk D70 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns out 69 bhp of peak power and 195 Nm of peak torque.
Despite the safety features introduced to the car, updated Bolero will come carrying the same design and layout inside out. Mechanically too, the car remains same as the outgoing SUV.
