Toyota Glanza is now available in G base variant for Rs 6.98 lakh
Toyota Glaza which is a rebadged version of Maruti Suzuki Baleno now gets a base G variant. Glanza G variant is priced at Rs 6.98 lakh ex-showroom. A more affordable G variant of Glanza is equipped with a 1.2-liter K12M petrol engine. This engine doe not come with a mild-hybrid system and thus explains Rs 24,000 lower pricing. Toyota Glanza G Smart Hybrid with 1.2-liter K12N mild-hybrid system will set you back by Rs 7.22 lakh ex-showroom.
The base G variant with the K12M engine has a fuel economy of 21.01 kmpl which is less than the premium mild-hybrid powered with the K12N engine’s fuel economy of 23.87 kmpl.
There are only two variants on offer – G and V. G variant has G MT and G Smart Hybrid whereas V has only 1.2 K12M engine option with MT and CVT gearbox. The smart hybrid is available only on the G variant. These two variants are based on the Baleno’s Zeta and Alpha variants but are offered for a lower price with more goodies. Baleno Zeta carries a price tag of Rs 7.05 lakh whereas newly launched Glanza G is Rs 7,000 cheaper. Smart Hybrid, on the other hand, is cheaper by Rs 65,000 when compared to the Baleno mild-hybrid.

Toyota is offering Glanza with a 3-year/1-lakh km warranty which is more than Maruti’s 2-year/40,000 km on Baleno.
More cars will come out of the joint venture of Maruti and Toyota. The companies will be developing hybrid and electric cars in the future which will comes out as Suzuki cars and then Suzuki will supply these newly developed cars to Toyota for international sales.
