The new generation Toyota Camry hybrid will come with a range of updates inside out, pricing around Rs 40 lakh
Toyota Camry hybrid has been the pioneer in India in bringing hybrid technology. Now, the new generation Toyota Camry hybrid is ready to hit showrooms in India. Ahead of its imminent launch, the hybrid sedan has been listed on the official website. The 2019 Toyota Camry hybrid will come with a host of updates and advanced technology onboard. It will compete with rivals like Honda Accord hybrid, Skoda Superb, Lexus ES 300h and Volkswagen Passat.
The new Toyota Camry hybrid is based on the automaker’s TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) platform. It boasts a completely restyled appearance. It gets massive front grille, sleek LED projector headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. Also, there are clean side profile, large alloy wheels, suave and sloping roofline, sleek LED taillights, lip spoiler.
The new generation Camry hybrid is longer and wider than its predecessor. The extra wheelbase adds more room for occupants. The interior gets a new dashboard with 7-inch MID, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 10-inch head-up display, triple-zone automatic climate control. It gets 9 airbags ensuring a superior level of safety for the occupants.
The eighth generation Toyota Camry hybrid comes powered by a 2.5-litre engine coupled with an 88 kW motor. Combined, the powertrain churns out 208 bhp of peak power. It gets an 8-speed E-CVT for transmission. The new-gen Toyota Camry hybrid could be priced at Rs 40 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be slightly premium over the current model. The hybrid sedan will be locally assembled in Bidadi plant.
